Overview

Lo Lefahed is an AI-assisted music video created for Israeli singer-songwriter Itay Dadon in 2023, during the early days of generative video.

Inspired by the song’s emotional message, the project explores a surreal visual journey through symbolic landscapes, expressive portraits and immersive environments. Rather than following emerging AI trends, the creative goal was to develop a unique visual language that could translate emotion into imagery, creating a timeless artistic experience.

The challenge

Created in 2023, when AI video was still in its infancy, the project demanded an entirely different creative workflow than what is possible today.

Every scene began with extensive visual exploration through hundreds of AI-generated images. The challenge was to transform real photographs of the artist into a recognizable visual character while simultaneously developing original worlds, symbolic environments and a cohesive artistic language.

Selected images were then transformed into individual video clips and carefully assembled through manual editing into a complete cinematic narrative.

The result

The final film combines portraiture, surreal landscapes, color, light and motion into a cohesive visual interpretation of Lo Lefahed.

More than a demonstration of early AI technology, the project represents an exploration of storytelling through emerging creative tools. It reflects an artistic process driven by experimentation, iteration and careful visual direction, where every frame contributes to a unified emotional journey.
